Project Overview
Hilto is a Flutter-based hospital appointment booking app built to streamline healthcare access in Rwanda. By enabling patients to search for top-ranked doctors, schedule appointments, and receive medical reports—all within one platform—Hilto reduces waiting times and improves overall patient experiences.
The Challenge
Long Wait Times: Traditional processes often force patients to wait in crowded facilities.
Cumbersome Scheduling: Coordinating appointments by phone or in-person is inefficient and prone to errors.
Limited Access: Many patients struggle to find qualified specialists quickly and verify their credentials.
Solution
Mobile-First Approach: I used Dart and Flutter to create a responsive, user-friendly interface for both Android and iOS.
Seamless Bookings: Patients can view a specialist’s availability, select a time slot, and receive immediate confirmation.
Enhanced Communication: Doctors can upload medical reports and chat securely with patients, minimizing follow-up visits.
